She will highlight key accomplishments in 2013 and outline future goals for the city. The mayor has been keeping tight-lipped about what she will address, but we can expect her to talk about some of the changes the city has seen in the past year.
Some of those include revitalization of the downtown area and continued efforts working with the homeless population.
“I like that she opened up the two camping shelters that are on 99. I think that was a real positive change in our community and shows that our community is growing,” says Eugene resident Ron Thibault.
There will also be an awards ceremony. Three Eugene companies are up for the Bold Step Awards, Glory Bee Foods, Life Technologies and Rainbow Valley Design and Construction. The winner will be announced Wednesday.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
