Mild First Week of October

video preview image

Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion

The weather remains sunny and warm for Monday with afternoon highs in the low 60s along the coast and low to mid 80s inland. An upper level disturbance will swing through Monday night into Tuesday; it won’t have much affect on our weather, in terms of precipitation, but will push in cooler air for Tuesday. Expect highs near 60 along the coast and mid to upper 70s inland.

A Rex Block pattern sets up in the upper levels of the atmosphere for the end of the week; this is when high pressure system “parks” itself above a low pressure system. Since our area will be between the two upper-level pressure systems, we will stay seasonal with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s along the coast and upper 70s inland.

I hope you have a fantastic first week of October!
