CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JUSTIN STAPLETON’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
It took almost half the month, but this week will finally start to look like more typical May weather, meaning showers at times, with a mix of clouds and sun. Skies will continue to clear overnight tonight with some valley low clouds and marine layer at the coast filling in for Tuesday morning. Lows tonight will be cooler, back down into the low 40s.
Tuesday afternoon should be able to get back to mostly sunny skies as we’ll be in between systems and highs again sitting around the upper 60s to 70 degrees. Wednesday also will be mostly dry, clouds returning by the afternoon and a chance for some showers overnight into Thursday. Light showers will be on and off most of Thursday, wrapping up by Friday morning. Fans of the mild weather will enjoy the next couple of days as highs won’t move out of the 60s and low 70s. Nice cool starts in the low 40s as well.
Friday and the weekend also stay mild overall, with a few weak systems bringing a mix of clouds and some afternoon sun and highs in the mid 60s. Your weekend plans won’t be too impacted by rain showers, the best chance right now looks to be late Saturday into Sunday morning, otherwise, just a quiet weekend ahead!
Have a great Tuesday!
