Military and Overseas Ballots Mailed

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Moving forward with Election 2012, Friday is the first major deadline for Oregon elections offices.

Thousands of ballots will be mailed Friday for those serving in the military or overseas.

Lane County is sending off more than 1,400 ballots for the November election. Douglas County sent 350, Linn County sent 330, and in Benton County about 600 ballots will be mailed. Coos County sent off 262 ballots Thursday.

All other ballots will be sent to voters approximately 10 days prior to Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 6.
