SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Springfield High School’s Varsity Cheer Squad won its 8th state title over weekend.
The squad celebrated the victory Monday with some cake.
Even though so many of the teams ahead of them won at state, this year’s Miller cheerleaders were excited about bringing home the state title again.
“We got first and we were so excited, it was like a dream come true because cheer is like our lives and we do it 24/7 and it was amazing, I was so happy,” said junior Alicia LaTourette.
This was the varsity coach’s 20th state title.
