Missing Gresham Woman’s Phone Found

GRESHAM, Ore. — Police are still looking for a Gresham woman who went missing Tuesday morning.

Whitney Heichel’s husband reported her missing when she didn’t show up for work.

So far police know her ATM card was used at a gas station at 257th and S.E. Stark. They say family and friends found her Ford Explorer in the Walmart parking lot in Wood Village, and the passenger side window had been broken out.

As of Friday, police have obtained Heichel’s cell phone, which was found in a field near the Troutdale Terrace Apartments in Troutdale. They will continue to search that area.

Officers are treating this case as a criminal investigation.

Heichel is 5 feet 2 inches and 120 pounds. Her 1999 Ford Explorer is black with tinted taillights and an Oregon license plate number that reads 189 EJZ.

Anybody who might have seen Heichel or her vehicle is asked to call the Tip Line at 503-618-2719.
