EUGENE, Ore. — The deadline to apply to enter the Willamette Angel Conference is almost here.
The annual conference gives local competing businesses a chance to pitch their ideas for a chance to win a $250,000 investment. The early bird deadline to apply is Feb. 13.
Organizers say the conference in May attracts around 250 people. And it’s a great outlet for businesses to expand.
“One of the biggest impediments that entrepreneurs have to start up a new company is access to capital. And the Willamette Angel Conference attempts to close that gap,” said Carrie Russo, Eugene Chamber of Commerce.
Over the course of the Angel Conference’s five years, there’s been $1.2 million invested in regional start-ups.
