CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JUSTIN STAPLETON’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Quiet overall tonight with some chilly overnight lows under mainly clear skies until the valley fog settles in. Expect some patchy isolated frost in the early morning and temperatures to settle into the upper 20s and low 30s.
Heading into the weekend, high pressure moves back in, clearing out the rain and afternoon clouds. Highs slowly move back into the mid to upper 50s and right now, looks like we’ll have another nice, sunny weekend! The ridge flattens out on Sunday allowing high clouds to move back in and a slight chance for some marine cloud drizzle, but most of the region will stay partly cloudy and dry.
Next rain chances don’t move back in until the ridge flattens out by next Tuesday and Wednesday. Both of those days the best chance for rain showers will be along the northern coastline and valley. Highs should hold on the mild side staying in the upper 50s.
Have a great weekend!
