Mosque Members React to Crawford’s Release

CORVALLIS, Ore. —┬áMozafar Wanly, with the Salman Aflarisi Islamic Center in Corvallis, said Cody Crawford may have not thought about what he was doing and claimed he probably didn’t know enough about Islam, a religion of peace and love.

Wanly said members of the mosque have forgiven Crawford for the alleged crime and said they trust the courts will control Crawford’s movement.

“The federal court if they feel that is enough for the safe and for the whole town, and we trust them with what they did, and we are supporting and accepting what’s happened,” said Wanly.

Wanly says he has the utmost respect for the government and the FBI and added that law enforcement and the FBI have contacted members of the mosque to make sure they feel safe.
