EUGENE, Ore. — Motorcyclists are getting revved up for a poker run this weekend to help support breast cancer prevention.
The Tough Enough to Wear Pink Motorcycle Poker Run will start at Latus Harley-Davidson Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Riders will stop in Brownsville, Monroe and Veneta before ending in Junction City at the Function for Junction Car Show.
The fundraiser is part of the Eugene Pro Rodeo, and all the money raised goes to the Cascade Health Foundation.
“My hope with that is that people will actually seek treatment before they find a lump or have symptoms, and they’re getting their screenings so it gets caught beforehand and, you know, the outcome would be a lot higher,” said Jaymie Defoe-Woods, director of Tough Enough to Wear Pink.
It costs $20 for the poker hand and a meal ticket. Riders can buy extra poker hands for $10 a piece. Registration starts Saturday at Latus Harley, located at 86441 College View Road in Eugene, at 11:30 a.m.
