EUGENE, Ore. — Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday in the trial of a Springfield man charged with killing his girlfriend.
Police say Robert Cromwell used a baseball bat to murder Casey Wright, 26, in his home in November.
Investigators say shortly after the crime, Cromwell walked into McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center with injuries and made a statement to the emergency room staff that he had killed his girlfriend.
Cromwell pleaded not guilty to the charges late last year.
Police say wright’s death was the result of domestic violence.
