SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Friends and family gathered for a small vigil Wednesday night to remember a murdered Springfield woman.
The candles were flickering for Allyson Archibald.
She was found on a Springfield sidewalk two years ago, beaten to death by her boyfriend.
The gathering was all about support and honoring her memory.
“It’s just a reminder that people still remember her, and actually we’re all still mourning. And even though we all have rough days, we can all get together and remember her,” said Allyson’s family Sierra & Cindy Archibald.
The man accused of killing her was sentenced to life in prison.
Part of the vigil helped raise awareness about domestic violence.
