Myrtle Creek Woman’s Remains Identified

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Human remains found near Roseburg last summer have been positively identified as a woman missing for more than a year.

A forensics lab has identified the remains as belonging to Deborah Schneider, of Myrtle Creek, who disappeared in January 2011.

Her skeletal remains were found on private property on Coos Bay Wagon Road last June.

Schnieder’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
