Name an OSU Building

OSU BUILDINGCORVALLIS, Ore. — You can help name Oregon State University’s newest building and win a big prize in the process.

OSU is taking suggestions to name a classroom building that will go up next to Austin Hall, the new business building.

Four finalists will win big gifts from campus, each worth $330: a Beaver Store gift certificate, a Visa gift card, OSU athletic event tickets, or a parking pass.

“This is a community, and we want the community to help celebrate and help name this great, big, important building that will help shape the future,” said Steve Clark, Vice President for University Relations and Marketing.

The building will be home to the University Honors College and the Integrated Instructional Resource Center. It will have 2,300 classroom seats in 15 classrooms, including a round style lecture hall that the University believes will engage more students.

The University would like name suggestions to reference a person, purpose, place, or philosophy: a person important to OSU’s history, a place that references OSU and the Willamette Valley, the purpose of the building, or a philosophy of the University.

The name should not have more than 25 letters, unless it’s an acronym. To enter, click here.
