Oregon State Police says a 54-year-old roadside mechanic, William Marion Steinbrook, of Yoncalla, was standing on the highway shoulder between a disabled commercial truck and a roadside assistance vehicle around 11 p.m. Sunday.
OSP says a semi-trailer crossed the fog line and crashed into the back of the stopped semi, pinning Steinbrook. He died at the scene. A passenger in the truck that crossed the fog line also died.
The driver of that truck was also injured. The driver of the disabled truck was not hurt.
