ROSEBURG, Ore. — Each year, the third Friday in September is designated national Ex-POW/MIA Recognition Day.
The VA Roseburg Health Care System will recognize Oregon’s prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action with a special ceremony Friday, Sept. 21.
The ceremony will take place in the auditorium (Building 16) at the Roseburg VA health care campus, located at 913 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd.
It’s from 1-2 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

These are people who should never be forgotten. I wish there was more news coverage on these often overlooked heroes some of whom are my friends.
