New CrossFit Gym Opens

EUGENE, Ore. — If you’re looking to stay fit in the new year, a new gym is opening in Eugene.

CrossFit Evviva is opening a new location near downtown. It offers a variety of classes, including cycling and rope climbing.

The gym’s owner says that while this particular business might be new, its workouts have been around for ages.

“All these movements have been around for a long time. There’s nothing new here really. It’s just that we’re putting it in a community format and we’re putting it in a group of people who want to hang out and want to work out together and we’re doing it in a fun environment,” said Byron Gold, CrossFit Gym Owner.

CrossFit is a workout routine that combines gymnastics, weight training and cardio.

The new gym is on West Sixth Avenue between Lincoln and Charnelton.
