CRESWELL, Ore. — Local pilots know the frustration of dealing with Oregon’s ever-changing weather, but a Creswell Flight School takes Mother Nature out of the equation.
Redbird FMX, a full-motion flight simulator, allows pilots to custom order the weather. The simulator gives pilots a chance to try out some maneuvers they wouldn’t normally be able to.
“An engine failure right after takeoff, which is very realistic, or give people stall-spin training that you might not have the aircraft available to do spin training in, so you can practice it here,” said TakeWING Flight School Owner Dorthy Schick.
The simulator is the only one in Lane County. If you’re interested in trying it out, click here for details.
