CRESWELL, Ore. — People in Creswell will soon be able to go to the grocery store without leaving town.
A new store, Farmlands Market, isn’t open yet, but word is already spreading throughout the community.
The owner is 20-year-old Jessica Moore from Creswell. She says after Ray’s closed in December, residents had to drive either to Eugene, Springfield or to Cottage Grove for groceries, making it difficult for people who couldn’t easily get around. Moore says she’s ready to fill that need and serve her community.
“I wish it was open so I could have people coming in here and talking to me about it and letting me know what they want to see. That’s important to me. I want people to tell me what they want so I can get it,” Moore said.
She says she plans to have a grand opening within the next three weeks.
