New Growler Fill Up Opens

EUGENE, Ore. — There’s a new place to fill up a growler in downtown Eugene near the Fifth Street Public Market.

Friday was the grand opening for Tap and Growler, located at 5th Avenue and Pearl Street. It’s a new business where craft beer and wine is on tap at the same place.

A few friends decided they wanted to open a growler fill up after seeing similar businesses in different parts of the state, but they wanted to make their place stand out.

“By the time it was becoming actually conceptualized, growler places were popping up everywhere and they were thinking well we’re not the only ones thinking about this, so they decided to make it more of a tap room where people can come and hang out, enjoy the food, enjoy the drink, all the different selections,” said Toby Harris, Tap and Growler General Manager.

They said with some new technology, unopened growlers will last three weeks.

The Tap and Growler will be open from 12-9 p.m. on weekdays and until 10 p.m. on weekends.
