Ninkasi Breaks Ground on Expansion

EUGENE, Ore. — The Ninkasi Brewing Company broke ground Thursday on another major expansion for the brand.

Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy was just one of the people on hand for the celebration in the Whiteaker District.

The plans call for a warehouse and cold storage facility, offices and a production brewing facility.

“I’m really excited for today. It’s been a long process of planning, and it’s always great to see positive progress and just the ability to have the resources now to do a lot of the things we’ve been thinking about and talking about for a long time is really exciting for us,” said Nikos Ridge, Ninkasi Brewing Company CEO.

Ninkasi currently has a production output of 95,000 barrels a year, but this expansion could push that up by about 200,000 barrels. The project should be completed late next year.
