EUGENE, Ore. — A local non-profit is celebrating its seventh international workshop with a very special book launch.
Mobility International USA works to empower people with disabilities. Its new book is a collection of stories from participants over the last four years. Current delegates say the book is a great learning tool.
“This is a way to educate and to show people — not only women with disabilities, but everyone — that women with disabilities can and have a place and can succeed and do things we’re told is not possible,” says Christiana Yaghr, a delegate from Ghana.
Thursday night’s setup will also be featured at the Lane County Historical Museum for a month, starting on Saturday.
