SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Springfield nonprofit organization working to prevent child abuse will receive a generous gift Tuesday, a brand new minivan.
Northwest Community Credit Union is donating the vehicle to Relief Nursery Robin Jaqua Child and Family Center in Springfield. It will help transport infants and individual families to and from the Relief Nursery. The staff and children will see the van for the first time Tuesday morning.
“It’s always exciting to celebrate with those who have been generous with us, for them to see first hand the difference that it makes,” says Relief Nursery Executive Director Kelly Sutherland.
Relief Nursery in Eugene and Springfield serves over a thousand children and their families in Lane County every year.
