November Ballots Due Tuesday

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Election Day in Tuesday, which means it’s the last day to drop off your ballot.

Postmarks don’t count, so it’s too late to mail it in. But you can still drop it off at drop sites in the River Road area, Springfield and Junction City. You can also take it to the Lane County Elections Office at 10th and Lincoln in downtown Eugene.

“This election is the Springfield School District, the Junction City School District, and the River Road Park and Recreation District, so it’s about 51,000 voters that are eligible. So certainly if you haven’t received a ballot you, may not be in those districts and that would be why,” said Cheryl Betschart, Lane County Clerk.

As of Monday morning, Lane County Elections has received more than 14,600 ballots, just under 30 percent returned. Ballots must be in Tuesday by 8 p.m.
