OAKRIDGE, Ore. — Oakridge residents say they’ve gathered enough signatures to call for an election to oust city council members.
Hundreds of citizens want the Oakridge City Council to be held responsible for the disappearance of $450,000 tax payer dollars.
City Administrator Gordon Zimmerman and the council still don’t have any answers on where the money went.
They are seeking an independent accountant to look over the city books
Some people blame the problem on late audits.
Several residents came to defend the council saying they are all good and honest people and recalling the entire council is an unnecessary reaction.
