OHA Holds Junction City Hospital Meeting

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — There’s a meeting Thursday night for community members who want to learn more about the mental health hospital under construction in Junction City.

Oregon State Hospital’s Junction City campus will bring more than 500 jobs to Junction City. The 225,000-square-foot campus will replace the smaller Pendleton and Portland facilities. It will have 174 beds on 90 acres of land.

The meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the hospital and the people it serves.

“This is just going to be an opportunity for people to come learn a little bit about the hospital but also tell us how they want to be engaged with by the hospital,” said Rebeka Gipson-King, Oregon State Hospital Spokeswoman.

The hospital is set to open in 2015. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 in the Junction City High School auditorium.
