One More Warm Day Before Brief Cool Down

video preview image

High temps made it back to the mid 70 in the valley and in central Oregon and low 80s for the Umpqua and southern Oregon. The one place that did not see the heat Thursday was the coast, all thanks to a return to on-shore flow.

High pressure is going to keep us sunny and warm again today. In fact, the valley should be even warmer than yesterday. Highs will likely climb to the mid to upper 70s.

On-shore flow will kick in even stronger bringing in more substantial cloud cover and highs will drop to the upper 60s/low 70s Saturday and Sunday and upper 50s/low 60s for Monday. A few light showers are also possible  on  Monday.

If you’re hoping for an extended stretch of rain or cooler weather…doesn’t look like that will happen. The ridge of high pressure looks to form again in the middle part of next week, bringing back the sunny warm and dry conditions.
