Oregon Firefighters Help Sandy Recovery

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — More help is on the way for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

A team of firefighter’s with the Willamette National Forest are flying to the East Coast Monday morning.

The crew of 20 trained firefighters will gather in Klamath Falls before catching the flight.

Once there, they’ll perform a variety of tasks including clearing and piling debris, downed trees, and brush. They are scheduled for 14 days of work before returning back to Oregon.
