Oregon Takes Drive Less Challenge

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregonians are coming together to drive less and save more.

The first statewide Drive Less Challenge kicks off this week. It has a goal of reducing a half-million vehicle miles traveled over the next 12 days.

Organizers aim to help people save money and improve air quality by having more people carpool, bus, walk or bike.

You can register online for the challenge and log your trips to get free travel tools like pedometers or leg straps for biking.
