Oregon Unemployment Rate Creeping Lower

SALEM, Ore. — Oregon’s unemployment rate keeps creeping lower. It’s almost a full point below where it was at this time last year.

The Oregon Employment Department says the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 8.4 percent. That’s down from 8.6 percent in October.

The jobless numbers have stayed between 8.4 percent and 8.9 percent since January.

But the latest numbers are a big drop from last November’s 9.1 percent.
