SOUTHERN OREGON – Fire crews made progress against the wildfires burning in southern Oregon over the weekend.
The Douglas Complex fires have burned 45,411 acres and were 48 percent contained Monday. The cost of fighting the complex is estimated to be more than $32 million.
The Whiskey Complex fires have burned 10,957 acres and were 40 percent contained.
The Big Windy Complex is 14 percent contained and has scorched 15,278 acres.
The Brimstone Fire has burned 2,372 acres and was 100 percent contained Monday.
The Labrador Fire has burned 2,020 acres in Josephine County. New fires were started by lightning Friday through Sunday and the fire remains 0 percent contained.
