WOODBURN, Ore. — Oregon State Police arrested a man it says was going more than 100 mph on Interstate 5, Monday.
Troopers say Jeff Bankston, of Tigard, was weaving his car in and out of traffic and tailgated drivers until they moved.
When troopers finally pulled the car he was driving over, they found a 5-year-old in the back seat not wearing a seat belt. His two year old daughter wasn’t properly secured in her child seat either.
Bankston didn’t offer an explanation as to a reason for his erratic driving, but troopers say he told them he had just recently installed a turbo booster in the car.
