LONDON, Ore. — Oregon State Police say an anonymous tip helped lead them to the man they suspect in the hit-and-run crash that killed a Dexter volunteer firefighter. Friday night, Troopers arrested Jason Manske, 31, on charges of hit-and-run and criminally negligent homicide.
The tip led them to the 72000 block of Shoestring Road near London, which is southeast of Cottage Grove. There, Troopers seized Manske’s 2005 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup.
That’s the truck investigators think hit and killed Bryson Krissie while he was walking along 30th Avenue on June 6.
“We are so appreciative of the public’s interest throughout the last couple days to help find the suspect vehicle and its driver so quickly,” said OSP Sgt. Andy Kenyon. “It took just one tip to get us to this point, but there were many other people who also provided tips to try and help.”
Investigators are still looking into the case. If you have any information, call the OSP Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888 or email tips in this case to crimetips2OSP@state.or.us.
