CRESWELL, Ore. — Oregon State Police has identified two male Creswell teens, ages 16 and 17, as the suspects who allegedly threw a cinder block off an I-5 overpass near Creswell Sunday morning, injuring a Washington woman inside a car.
After receiving phone calls with tips on the case, a trooper contacted both suspects and their parents. OSP says the teens are cooperating with the investigation and no arrests have been made. Their names are not being released at this time.
Early Sunday morning, police say the woman is still recovering. She received 10 stitches in her chin at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend and was then released. A piece of glass cut her eye, and her left shoulder was badly bruised.
Police say at the end of the investigation, they will meet with the Lane County District Attorney’s Office when potential charges will be decided.
