OSP Investigates Serious Injury Crash

TURNER, Ore. — Oregon state police is continuing its investigation into a three-vehicle traffic crash, Monday.

OSP says the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. along Enchanted Way near the entrance of the Enchanted Forest Theme Park.

A 2001 Mitsubishi Montero sport utility vehicle driven by Gerald R. Luttrell, 50, of Salem, was traveling southbound from Enchanted Way. The Mitsubishi began to turn left toward an entrance to an RV Park when it pulled into the path of 1994 Toyota pickup. Both vehicles collided and the Mitsubishi rolled onto its top. A 2013 ford explorer was stopped in the entrance of the RV Park and hit.

Luttrell was seriously injured and transported by Lifeflight to the Salem Hospital. Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor for Luttrell. No other persons were injured in the crash.

OSP is continuing its investigation into the crash.
