OSP on High Alert for LA Manhunt

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Oregon State Police are using extra caution to make sure troopers are well aware of the manhunt in California.

They all have a picture of former LA Police Officer Christopher Dorner and the specifics surrounding the case. Dorner is accused of killing three people.

While OSP doesn’t have any reason to think he’s headed to Oregon, they want to make sure every trooper knows about any potential threat.

“Whether it’s an incident in the nature of the one that occurred down in California or to be on the lookout for other wanted people, vehicles of interest, missing persons, these steps are taken not only in this very tragic situation, but also many other occasions that occur on many other occasions,” said Lt. Gregg Hastings, Oregon State Police.

Troopers are also using extreme caution right now, due to the nature of these crimes.
