CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State University is celebrating Earth Week by hosting events that promote sustainability and awareness.
Events include Campus Creature Census, which exhibits creative pieces of work that are inspired by plants and animals on OSU’s campus. The Hoo-Haa Earth Day Celebration at the Organic Grower’s Club farm. Guests can enjoy free food, live music and entertainment, learn about soil and discover how chickens are used to till soil.
The 13th annual Earth Week Community Fair will take place Tuesday, April 23 and offers activities and environmental information.
OSU Surplus Property will host the OSUsed Store Earth Week sale on April 24. Sale items include furniture, computers, electronics and housewares.
A celebration will take place to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of planting elm trees in the library quad. An additional tree is planted to commemorate the next 100 years.
