CORVALLIS, Ore. – Monday night’s final game of the Super Regional puts the Oregon State Beavers against Kansas State, and the game’s sold out. Goss Stadium was packed Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday game setting a record 3,602 tickets sold.
The Beaver Store was packed with fans grabbing Pac-12 gear to sport their Beaver pride.
Many of the fans were nervous about Monday night’s game.
“Nervous, nervous, I’m not really nervous,” said Marilyn Swimley, grandmother of first baseman Danny Hayes.
“I was a baseball coach and just know baseball can go either way, but I’m excited for their chance to get to Omaha,” said Phil Swimley, Danny Hayes grandfather.
“Well I’m kind of concerned the way they played the first game; but way they bounced back last night, I have good feelings about tonight,” said fan Tom Williams.
The Beaver Store’s already getting ready to order Omaha-bound gear, which will be available on Wednesday if the Beavers win Monday night.
The fans say as long as the players do what they did Sunday, they’ll be fine.
