OSU to Develop Sports Medicine Facility

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State University is teaming up with Samaritan Health Services to develop a new sports medicine facility on the university campus, the school announced Friday.

According to the university, the facility will provide diagnostic and treatment services.

It will serve as a site for student internships, training and research and will help enhance OSU’s academic program in the areas of sports science and exercise.

The facility will be open to students and the public.

Construction of the 10,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin this fall. It should be ready to open in the fall of 2014.
