Now here’s a run like no other. The Color Me Rad 5K is finally making its way to Track Town U.S.A. This run is not for the faint of heart. Along the course, runners are pelted with color bombs and come out looking like a tie-dyed hippy. It happens at Valley River Center on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Admission starts at $35.
Show your strength at the annual Arm Wrestling Championships at Three Rivers Casino. There will be more than $10,000 in cash and prizes. Weigh-ins start Friday at 1 p.m. The competition is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s totally free to watch.
Actress Molly Ringwald, known famous for films in the ’80s such as Sixteen Candles, will perform jazz music in Eugene this weekend. She’s stopping her on her tour with her jazz group. Her concert is Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at The Shedd Institute in Eugene. Tickets start at $34.
The Eugene Ballet Company takes you to the jungle on an adventure with Mowgli. The Jungle Book Ballet brings together your favorite characters from the classic story. The shows are Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at the Hult Center. Tickets start at $22. Discounts are available.
Ladies, now’s the time to clean out your closet. Monkey Bugs Kids Resale is hosting a Ladies Night Clothing Swap Friday night. Admission is three cans of food for Food for Lane County. All leftover clothing will be donated to The Arc. it happens 6-9 p.m. at the Eugene Vets Club on 16th Avenue and Willamette Street.
