There are a lot of ways to enjoy the weekend. Here are some ideas from 104.7 FM KDUK’s Valerie Steele:

It’s time for the Eugene Marathon, and kids can get in on the fun too. The Kids Duck Dash is a 1K run for kids ages 5 to 12. it starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday at 15th Avenue and Onyx Street. Kids get a T-shirt and breakfast at the end. Admission is $10-$20. Packet pick-up is Friday and Saturday at the Lane Event Center.

Duck fans, here’s the day you’ve been waiting for all winter–the Spring Football Scrimmage. The Ducks will show off their skills at Autzen Stadium. The game starts at 11 a.m. You’re asked to bring three non-perishable food items for Food for Lane County.

The football fun continues on the bowling lanes. Twelve former Ducks and current NFL players will compete in the Dixon 2 Dickson Celebrity Bowling Tournament Saturday at Emerald Lanes. It costs $25 to watch, $125 if you want to bowl, or $500 per team. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley.

The Bacon Festival is back at Rogue Ales Public House in Eugene this Saturday. There will be many bacon-inspired dishes, live music and more. It happens from 2-8 p.m. Admission is $10. That includes five tasting tickets and a pork plate. Proceeds benefit YMCA Summer Youth Camps.

Folk music legend Arlo Guthrie will be playing a concert at the McDonald Theater. His show is Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available. They start at $27.50.

If you want to get out of town, check out the Sea Lion Caves. It’s celebrating its 80th anniversary by charging only 25 cents to get in. It’s located on Highway 101 north of Florence.
