Celebrate the Christmas season at the Wildish Theater. Eugene’s own Emmy-award winning storyteller Mark Lewis is performing “A Celebration of Christmas.” The show starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday in Springfield. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Proceeds benefit the Eugene Library Foundation.

The Eugene Symphony is performing an extravagant holiday show at the Hult. The orchestra will perform the Nutcracker Suite, surrounded by acrobats, aerialists and strongmen. Cirque de Noel is Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Tickets start at $44.

Do you have what it takes to build the best gingerbread house? Here’s your chance to prove it. Fifth Street Public Market is hosting a gingerbread house competition this Saturday. If you want to enter the competition, register in advance online. You can also just enjoy the show. It happens Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Relive the classic movie Animal House this weekend with singer Otis Day. Otis returns to the Dexter Lake Club where part of the movie was filmed. He’ll be playing shows Friday and Saturday night and Saturday afternoon. There are still a few tickets left. Admission is $100.

If you have a taste for ale, you’ll want to head out to the 16 Tons Taphouse. This Saturday and Sunday, they’re hosting the Eugene Winter and Strong Ale Fest. Sample all sorts of drinks at their location on East 13th Avenue. Admission is free.
