This Friday and Saturday, you can take part in Quacks Give Back! Dennis Dixon and Ed Dickson are putting on a celebrity bowling tournament, and cocktail carnival, dinner and auction. The Washington-Jefferson Skate Park is having its grand opening Saturday. There will be free skate lessons start at 10 a.m. Live music starts at 1:30 p.m. And there’s even a skate competition at 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
You can also head out to Cottage Grove Speedway for Fan Appreciation Night. See race cars up close and meet the drivers before opening ceremonies. That happens Saturday night. Races start at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for kids, children under 5 get in free.
Relax at a free concert at Fifth Street Public Market in Eugene. The band Concrete Loveseat will be playing this Saturday. That starts at 6 p.m. at Route 5 NW Wine Bar. Admission is free.
Celebrate Make Music Day! Musicians from all over the world are taking part, including in Eugene. Pacific Winds Music is hosting two free events. There’s a ukulele beginners class at 10 a.m. and Pack the Parking Lot Play-along at noon. That happens Saturday. Admission is free.
