The University of Oregon kicks off Mallard Madness with a long-awaited concert featuring Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. They’ll perform with special guest Sol. The show is Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for the upper level for $28.
Local fashion stars will showcase their designs at Eugene Fashion Week runway shows. The ready-to-wear show is Friday, and the avant garde show is Saturday. Both shows start at 8 p.m. at The Shedd in Eugene. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Advanced tickets for both nights are $20.
First Friday Art Walk is adding wine tasting to its schedule this month. Select galleries will offer wine samples from local wineries. There will even be a marketplace at Broadway Commerce Center where you can listen to live jazz music. The art walk goes from 5:30-8 p.m. Admission is free.
UO athletes are showing off their other talents this weekend for a good cause. Their community service group O Heroes is once again presenting its annual talent show called Showtime. They’ll perform live and also show videos. Tickets are only $5, and all proceeds go to fund local service projects. The show is Sunday at 5 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena.
Jane Austen’s story “Pride and Prejudice” comes alive on stage this weekend with Ballet Fantastique. They’re putting a new twist on it by setting it in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Shows are at the Hult Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets start at $27.
