EWEB is holding its annual Run to Stay Warm. You can run or walk a 5k, 10k or even a half marathon! The kids can join in the fun too during the 400 meter dash. It happens this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at EWEB. All proceeds go to EWEB’s Customer Care Program, which helps people in need pay their utility bills. Admission is $20-$30.
As you’re doing your holiday shopping, be sure to pick up an extra food items or a toy to donate to local families in need. KDUK’s annual Stuff the Bus is back this weekend. All day long Friday and Saturday at Eugene and Springfield Walmart stores, we’ll be collecting new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food to donate to local families in need.
The Dance Factory will perform their latest show 7EVEN at the Hult Center. These young dancers are excited to kick off their dance season and show you what they’ve been working on. Tickets are $15. The curtain rises Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The UO’s Dance Africa troop is inviting you to Celebrate Africa at Gerlinger Annex. Celebrate the culture, dance and music of West Africa. They’ll have a dance workshop at 10 a.m. and drum workshops at noon and 2 p.m. Admission is $5. Cash only please.
Ring in the winter season at Night of a Thousand Stars. Fifth Street Public Market is transforming their place into a winter wonderland, complete with falling snow. U of O’s On the Rocks, the Eugene Ballet, carolers and much more will be there. It happens Friday at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.
