There are lots going on this Thanksgiving weekend. If you’re still looking for ways to enjoy the holiday with your family and friends, KDUK’s Valerie Steele has a few ways you can enjoy your time on the town.
Hosting the family this weekend? Show them around and relax at local wineries. All over the Willamette Valley, wineries will open their doors for you to come taste their creations, listen to live music and more. Click here for a complete list of locations.
The Eugene Generals Hockey Team will be competing in town this weekend. You can catch them on the ice Friday and Saturday. They’ll play against West Sound at 7:35 p.m. each night at the Lane Ice Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and free for kids 5 and under.
If you want to shop ’til you drop at local businesses, you can do that all under one roof. The Eugene Saturday Market’s Holiday Market is open this weekend at the Lane Events Center. Local arts and crafts vendors will be selling their one-of-a-kind treasures. The market is open Friday through Sunday. Admission and parking are free.
And if you need a holiday gift idea, how about giving the gift of laughter? Comedian and actor Robin Williams is coming to the Hult Center in January. He’ll appear along with comedian David Steinberg. Tickets are on sale now. Official meet-and-greet and VIP ticket packages are also available. The show is January 12, 2013.
