If you’re still looking for ways to enjoy the weekend, KDUK’s Valerie Steele has a few ways you can enjoy your time on the town.
Get in the holiday spirit at the Springfield Christmas Parade. This is the parade’s 60th year bringing you local bands, floats and maybe even Santa Clause. The route runs along Main Street. It starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
Treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind meal at the Falling Sky Brewers Harvest Dinner. It includes six beer courses and five food courses. There are still some tickets available. It happens Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Falling Sky Brewing House on Oak Alley in Eugene. Admission is $39.
At the Hult Center this weekend, dance group King’s Krew returns for their show Major FX. Their dances will be paired with visual effects and illusions for an ultimate dance experience. Tickets are $16. The show is Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The annual Winter’s Eve Corvallis is the place to be Friday. There will be fine food samples, beer, wine and coffee from over 30 local resturants. And along with live music, downtown shops will offer exclusive discounts. It happens 5-10 p.m. along Madison Avenue. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Assistance League of Corvallis.
Nearby Nature is looking for some volunteers to help restore areas of Alton Baker Park. You can join in at their work party, helping pull ivy and blackberries to make way for native habitat. Come dressed in layers, and meet at Nearby Nature on Day Island Road in Eugene Saturday at 9 a.m.
