Fifth Street Public Market is going all out for its Harvest Festival this weekend. There will be pumpkin carvers, a kid’s costume contest, games and a dog parade. If you’d like to carve a pumpkin, you’re asked to bring three cans of food to donate. The festival happens Friday through Sunday at Fifth Street Public Market in Eugene.
The walking dead will be dancing to Michael Jackson’s song Thriller in downtown Eugene. It’s part of the worldwide event called Thrill the World. You can catch the flashmob at Kesey Square right at noon on Saturday. You won’t want to miss it. Admission is free.
Cirque de Soleil is back in Eugene, this time for their show Quidam. Their acrobats, musicians and singers will take over Matthew Knight Arena now through Sunday. Tickets are still available. They start at $35. Discounts are available.
Harry Potter fans can celebrate this month’s spooky holiday with the Corvallis-OSU Symphony. Their show Halloween with Harry 2012 features songs from the Harry Potter soundtrack. It’s this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the LaSells Stewart Center. Starting at 1p.m., Diagon Alley opens in the lobby. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door.
Get your costume ready for this year’s Monster Mash run/walk. There’s a 5K run/walk and a kids timed 1K run. The races start at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday at Alton Baker Park. Admission is $10-$25. Proceeds go to the KIDSPORTS scholarship fund.
