Owner Searches for Stolen Dog

EUGENE, Ore. – Nearly a dozen people spent Wednesday in Eugene looking for a stolen dog from Astoria.

The owner says her dog, a solid grey pit bull mix named Diesel, has been spotted up and down the Oregon coast with a transient man. She says Diesel was most recently reportedly seen in Eugene.

Police are on the case, searching various homeless camp sites in the area. The owner created a Facebook page, catching the attention of animal lovers around the Willamette Valley who are all helping look for the dog.

“He’s very distinguishing. He looks like a pit bull, but he has shorter legs and he is solid grey. So you can’t really miss him,” said Salem resident Marylynn Varner.

Diesel is still wearing his original collar. People searching for him are asking anyone who might see the dog to call the local police department.

I really want to give an extra special thanks to Stacey who took the time to post this article. News channels everywhere have been contacted for months now and to no avail. This article might be what we needed to get someone to notice him and call. Thank you Stacey from the bottom of our hearts!!! From all of us at NW Pet Classifeds that have worked so hard in searches and posting flyers and talking with authorities. Thank you very very much!

SHOUT OUT TO STACEY FOR POSTING THIS!! THANKS SOO MUCH!
Billie (Diesels momma!) and all of us involved in the search for Diesel have been trying constantly to get something aired on the local news in order to get the word out there to more people, and increase the chances of Diesel being returned home! We are so very thankful for this finally happening!

Hopes are very high when it comes to Diesel being found and returned, there is a group dedicated to finding him called Let’s Find Diesel on facebook, and the numbers keep growing, so much of that thanks to people dedicated to this search and also to members of our group called NW pet classifieds, where we have over 6000 members, which helps to spread the word tremensly!
There has been a case filed under stolen, with the Astoria police department, the case number is 20132365! The local police department should know that, but if not, you can mention that.

THERE IS A $500 DOLLAR REWARD FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF DIESEL!
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND LETS GET DIESEL HOME, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
