Paper Carrier Robbed at Knife Point

EUGENE, Ore. — An early morning paper carrier was robbed and threatened with a knife in west Eugene, according to Eugene Police.

Police say around 5:00 a.m. Friday, a paper carrier was traveling north on River Road when a car quickly approached from behind. The paper carrier pulled into a parking lot and the vehicle followed. Two males exited their vehicle, opened the paper carrier’s driver side door and assaulted the man, threatening him with a three to four inch knife and then left with some of his property.

Eugene Police are looking for two suspects who are described as white males, both 20- to 25-years-old, 5’06”-5’11” tall, 170-180 pounds., with short unknown color hair. The first suspect was wearing a dark jacket and light pants. The car the suspects were driving is described as a small dark colored two door car, possibly an Volkswagen Sirocco or Geo

Violent Crimes detectives are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and observed the vehicle or who recognizes the description of the suspects and/or vehicle to contact Eugene Police at 541-682-5147
